Now, if your idea of having fun means generating more business; I like the way your mind works. I’ve had a passion for “stacking wins” since I was a kid. The competitive fire was lit early but exploded when I had the chance to go to Europe to play soccer in 7th grade. My parents said, “We can’t afford that – but if you can raise half the money we can figure it out.” Maybe it’s in my DNA because I’ve been an entrepreneur since birth but I went around my neighborhood selling door-to-door to raise money so I could play. I won first place on fundraising and “Bowling for Dollars” because I was motivated to raise the money, and unlike a lot of my friends who were better off or too shy to go to the front door – I wasn’t, never have been and I had a goal to achieve. I learned how to properly ask for the order, even when I was 12, because I wanted it. I learned and I raised enough money to go and also came home from England with $1,500.00 in 1985. I realized I had a natural gift for sales then and have polished and expanded those sales skills everyday since.
Now, here I am in 2016, with my marketing firm providing those exact same skills for my clients, not only marketing but actually selling for them…YEP!…Selling! We back up our commitment. We even make cold calls!
16 years after I founded Zyphon Media and that same competitive fire burns inside me, which is great for our clients. The goods news is your company gets the full benefit of my philosophy of a company driven by competitive spirit, success and results.
I still love marketing and the joy of a win. The only thing that has changed is I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful daughters, but in my heart, I’m still the competitive maniac I’ve always been and that philosophy lives in our marketing team.
